Reface or Replace Kitchen Cabinets ?

First of let me point out that kitchen cabinet refacing cost can not be generalized mainly because the sizes of the cabinets and material to be used varies. So while I try to provide some possible estimates, you should take the next step to get in touch with a company that will produce a custom made quote. More about this later.

Depending on your choice you could spend $3500 for 35 cabinet doors and drawer fronts, this will be for veneer face frames and likely foil doors.  

You can go through a company like Home depot or one similar where you can buy a few other large appliances there and be eligible for a good deal. For a about 10 large doors, 5 small doors and 5 drawer you could pay something like $2800. This is in a case where hinges for the doors are solid maple and placed inside the doors.

One of our Customers got a refacing quote from someone who said he would charge $4500 for a 21 linear feet of cabinets that have 10 doors and 5 drawers. I consider this to be quite an expensive cabinet refacing cost.  We charged $3400

Some of the big box stores will give you very expensive quotes like one I know that gave a member of our community forum a quote amounting to $24000 for refacing with real hardwood. The same company also produced a quote of $19 000 for refacing with non-genuine material. And these were with THIN Veneer and Not Face Frame Replacements.

Here is the Challenge: Ask any of our competition to quote Face Frame Replacement in their quote. They won’t even know what that means!
